Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Grants and Contracts Specialist to join our team at Schneider. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing pre- and post-award accounting duties for small grants and contracts, preparing and negotiating grants and contracts, and assisting with maintaining award-related schedules and preparing government applications and reports.

Key Responsibilities
  • Reconcile contract and grant accounts, run reports, and record expenses and revenues.
  • Ensure department spreadsheets are up to date and accurate.
  • Perform complex analytical skills and techniques, including the use of various financial databases.
  • Prepare routine financial documents and monitor account activity.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field.
  • No experience required, but a combination of education and relevant experience will be considered.
  • Excellent oral communication skills to explain financial terms.
Work Environment

The position is mostly sedentary, but travel between various campus buildings is required.
