Job Summary

As a Grants and Contracts Specialist II (Post-Award), you will play a critical role in the Department of Surgery Research Administration team. This is an excellent opportunity to join a successful and experienced team of research administrators who oversee all financial aspects of the LITES program as it enters its 10-year extension.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform post-award accounting duties for moderately complex grants and contracts, including monitoring account activity, performing internal audits, resolving routine issues, and providing policy and procedure interpretation.
  • Prepare routine financial reports and government reports, and recommend operational improvements.
  • Conduct pre and post-award accounting duties for moderately complex grants and contracts, including preparing and processing invoices, conducting cost analyses, re-budgeting projects, setting up sub-awards, and preparing and monitoring grants, contracts, and budgets.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records and files, including grant records and files.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field.
  • At least 1 year of experience in grants and contracts administration.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders.
