Role Summary
The Radiation Therapist plays a crucial role at MultiCare, responsible for delivering external beam radiation therapy in accordance with the directives of the Radiation Oncology physician and Medical Radiation Physicist. This position requires a keen attention to detail, a strong service orientation, and expertise in radiotherapy.
Key Responsibilities- Deliver the prescribed radiation therapy course accurately and safely, adhering to departmental protocols.
- Monitor patients for any unusual physical or psychological reactions, promptly reporting observations to the Clinical Nurse Specialist and/or Radiation Oncology physician, and assisting in emergency treatments as necessary.
- Maintain the daily treatment schedule, collaborating effectively with physicians, physics staff, and administrative personnel for scheduling treatments, simulations, and diagnostic studies.
- Graduate of an accredited Radiation Technology program, board eligible, and registered to sit for the next board examination, with two consecutive attempts to pass before potential dismissal.
- Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technology in Radiation Therapy and certified as a Radiation Therapist by the State of Washington.
- Current CPR certification.

The compensation range for this position is $54.13 USD, influenced by various factors such as skill set, experience level, and certifications. If this position is associated with a union contract, pay will align with the appropriate step on the pay scale based on the applicant's experience.
