Job Description

**Job Title:** Engineering Test Technician - Medical Device

**Job Type:** Contract - 12 Months

**Shift:** Night Shift

**Compensation:** $32.00/hr

We are seeking a skilled professional to support our team as a Test Technician I for a prominent client in the medical device industry.

**Key Responsibilities:**

  • Execute verification testing on test fixtures to ensure quality and accuracy.
  • Communicate test-related activities and results with team members to facilitate collaboration and decision-making.
  • Perform gauge repeatability and reproducibility to ensure consistency and reliability.
  • Provide input to engineers to assist in the development of test protocols and prototype builds.
  • Conduct mechanical and electrical testing to evaluate new and existing products.

**Required Skills and Abilities:**

  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively as a contributing member of cross-functional teams, including quality, electronic, and mechanical engineers.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think creatively and resolve complex issues.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs, including Excel and Word.
  • Ability to organize and prioritize workload, meet multiple deadlines simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication skills, including oral and written communication, with the ability to maintain clear project status and interlocks with internal project teams and external test agencies.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to work constructively and cooperatively with all team members in the best interests of the program.
  • Strong understanding of basic statistical analysis.

**Education and Experience:**

  • Bachelor's degree in an engineering, scientific, or equivalent field.
  • Solid understanding of technician fundamentals and proven hands-on mechanical skills.
  • Familiarity with standard test equipment, such as force gauges, calipers, and data loggers.
  • Experience working in a multi-disciplinary team environment.
