This role is pivotal in shaping the online presence of our Volleyball Department, focusing on engaging with athletes and their families while promoting our leagues, teams, and tournaments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and curate captivating content tailored for our social media channels, including Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, and TikTok.
  • Establish a comprehensive content calendar to ensure regular updates and timely promotion of events and important announcements.
  • Engage with our online community by monitoring and responding to comments, messages, and mentions.
  • Collaborate with coaching staff and athletes to collect diverse content, such as photos, videos, and interviews.
  • Assist in planning and executing social media campaigns aimed at boosting program visibility and participation.
  • Evaluate social media performance metrics and prepare reports to assess progress and discover areas for enhancement.
  • Stay informed about the latest trends and best practices in social media and sports marketing.

Qualifications:

  • A strong passion for volleyball and familiarity with the sport is advantageous.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
  • A creative approach with the capacity to innovate.
  • Proficiency in major social media platforms.
  • Basic understanding of social media analytics and reporting tools.
  • Skills in photography and video editing are beneficial.
  • Ability to work autonomously as well as collaboratively.
  • Currently pursuing a degree in marketing, communications, or a related discipline is preferred.
  • Competence in utilizing software and technology for program management and communication.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, as required.
  • CPR and First Aid certification (or a commitment to obtain upon hiring).
  • A dedication to promoting volleyball and fostering an inclusive environment for all participants.
