Job Summary

Girlstart is seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic Program Leader to join our team and lead our fun, hands-on, STEM-focused After School programs across Texas and the California Bay and Boston, MA areas.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead 2 After School programs per week, working with 20-25 girls in grades 4-5, to provide a fun and engaging STEM enrichment experience.
  • Develop and implement lesson plans, activities, and materials to promote girls' interest and engagement in science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM) fields.
  • Build and maintain positive relationships with girls, parents, and school staff to ensure a successful and inclusive program.
  • Collaborate with the Program Coordinator to plan and implement program activities, events, and evaluations.
  • Participate in ongoing training and professional development to enhance skills and knowledge in STEM education and youth development.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field (e.g., education, STEM, youth development) or equivalent experience.
  • Experience working with children, preferably in an educational or youth development setting.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse groups of people.
  • Ability to present to a group of girls and manage a classroom environment.
  • Reliable transportation and a valid driver's license (for at least 1 year).
  • Proficient in using Google Drive apps and other technology tools.
  • Strong time management and organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
