Job Summary

The Magnet Program Director at St. David's Medical Center is a clinical leader responsible for promoting, developing, and implementing innovation and excellence in nursing practice throughout the organization.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee and coordinate the Magnet Program, ensuring Magnet principles are embedded in the organization's culture.
  • Develop and implement strategies to foster innovation and excellence in clinical nursing practice.
  • Collaborate with leadership to embed the professional practice model into clinical practice and maintain shared governance and council structure.
  • Provide education and training to clinical staff on new processes and standards of practice.
  • Serve as liaison between leadership, outside certifying organizations, staff, physicians, and the community.

Requirements

  • 5 years of nursing experience with experience developing, implementing, and evaluating new programs and processes.
  • Prior management or project management experience is required.
  • Previous experience in Magnet accredited organization or experience in Magnet accreditation process is highly desirable.
  • Experience in research translation process and evidence-based nursing practice.
