Key Responsibilities:
- Regularly contact customers and prospects to identify potential sales opportunities for new and used trucks and trailers.
- Maintain a comprehensive database of existing customers and sales prospects to facilitate organized customer contact.
- Assist truck sales personnel in preparing sales quotes and managing sales assistance tasks.
- Engage with customers visiting the dealership when sales personnel are unavailable.
- Help rental customers during peak times.
- Organize and maintain used truck files, including inventory specifications and images.
- Collaborate with the Sales Manager to gather information for monthly direct mail initiatives.
- Advertise new and used trucks as directed.
- Follow up with customers to ensure satisfaction with products and services.
Additional Responsibilities:
- Appraise used trucks for trade-in value when necessary.
- Travel to customer locations to facilitate the sales process.
- Assist with sales and marketing activities, including surveys and trade shows.
- Ensure the truck lot is well-maintained and presentable.
- Coordinate trucks through service or rig-up processes.
- Keep sales brochures up to date and readily available.
Qualifications:
- A minimum of a high school diploma with relevant experience is required.
- At least 2 years of retail sales experience, preferably in heavy or medium-duty trucks.
- Strong organizational skills to manage multiple priorities effectively.
- Commitment to the company's core values.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Adequate mathematical skills for preparing sales quotes and analyzing market data.
- Ability to operate a computer and engage with customers effectively.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to demonstrate trucks to customers, which may involve climbing into the cab or onto the frame.
