Key Responsibilities

As a Lead Financial Analyst, you will:

  • Deliver comprehensive financial planning and analysis (FP&A) support to the Enterprise Information Technology (IT) division.
  • Oversee the financial interactions between Cencora and essential strategic IT vendors, including the review and tracking of Statements of Work (SOW), ensuring vendor compliance with financial contract stipulations, and reconciling vendor accounts.
  • Monitor and report on critical Program Accounting initiatives, which encompass project financial assessments.
  • Maintain and supervise IT Financial processes throughout the project lifecycle, including providing training assistance for project managers.
  • Act as an educational resource for internal and external stakeholders, as well as business leaders, to facilitate the understanding of financial outcomes and measurement systems.
  • Offer financial consulting and analytical support, including budgeting and forecasting, to the leadership of designated shared service organizations.
  • Mentor junior IT Financial Analysts.
  • Collaborate closely with shared service leaders to grasp business needs and requirements, ensuring alignment of forecasts and budgets.
  • Prepare monthly accruals and expense reclassification entries.
  • Audit task charge codes in Clarity to ensure adherence to accounting standards.
  • Maintain forecasts for operating expenses and capital expenditures.
  • Support the development, maintenance, and ongoing enhancement of the annual budgeting and forecasting processes.
  • Assist in the capital planning process for assigned organizations, which includes conducting research and analysis, validating business cases, creating financial models, and providing recommendations.
  • Analyze and interpret financial data, formulating conclusions and recommendations to address concerns or identify opportunities.
  • Report monthly actual results against budget and forecast, investigating and explaining variances.
  • Analyze trends and cost drivers, highlighting risks and opportunities.
  • Provide financial analysis to aid IT leadership in understanding financial results and supporting business decisions.
  • Deliver analysis for monthly management reviews.
  • Ensure knowledge, understanding, and compliance with company policies and procedures.
  • Provide feedback to management regarding potential issues or areas for improvement.
  • Make recommendations for process enhancements.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by management.
Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • A Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience, preferably in Finance or Accounting.
  • 8+ years of FP&A experience in a large corporate setting.
  • Experience in an IT environment is advantageous.
  • Proficiency in creating budgets and forecasts, reporting, financial modeling, and analysis.
  • Experience in developing and leading FP&A processes.
  • Advanced knowledge of accounting principles.
  • High proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Experience with financial systems; familiarity with SAP is a plus.
  • The ability to collaborate with senior management across functions.
  • Independence in working with minimal supervision.
  • Creativity and forward-thinking with strong ethical standards.
  • Sound technical skills, analytical ability, and good judgment.
  • Strong presentation skills and the ability to maintain confidentiality.
  • Capability to meet established deadlines.
