Southern Utah University is seeking a highly qualified Assistant Professor of Accounting to join our team in the Dixie L. Leavitt School of Business. As a tenure-track faculty member, you will be responsible for teaching graduate and undergraduate courses in accounting, both on-campus and online.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Teach a variety of accounting courses, including accounting information systems and accounting data analytics, to students at both the undergraduate and graduate levels.
  • Meet scholarly and/or professional engagement requirements to maintain qualification in the appropriate AACSB category.
  • Engage and mentor students in the exploration of career opportunities and job placement in alignment with the mission and vision of the Dixie L. Leavitt School of Business and Southern Utah University.
  • Work in a team-based environment and provide service to the department, school, and university.
  • Perform other responsibilities as assigned.

Requirements:

  • Ph.D. in Accounting. ABD candidates may be considered.
  • Applicants must meet the Leavitt School of Business faculty qualification standards for the appropriate AACSB classification.
  • Applicants with a PhD degree must meet the academic and professional requirements to be qualified in the Scholarly Academic (SA) category or the professional requirements to be qualified in the Practice Academic (PA) category.
  • Applicants must demonstrate an ability to provide an excellent educational experience for students.
