As a Community Support Specialist, you will operate under general supervision, collaborating with both internal and external partners to enhance awareness of our programs. You will also provide expertise in Medicaid, CHIP, and SNAP benefits. Your duties will encompass partner recruitment, program assistance and training, data gathering, evaluation, and other assigned responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities:

Regular attendance and willingness to travel up to 65% of the time.

Partnership Recruitment and Retention (35%):

  • Evaluate organizations within your designated area.
  • Establish recruitment objectives and engage local entities.
  • Support the onboarding process for new community partner organizations.

Program Support and Training (35%):

  • Deliver continuous support, training, and technical assistance.
  • Facilitate stakeholder meetings and represent the department at external gatherings.
  • Assist with Community Partner Program Forums.

Data Collection, Assessment/Evaluation, and Program Development (20%):

  • Document program activities and engage in evaluation efforts.
  • Identify trends and best practices, offering recommendations for enhancements.

Additional Responsibilities (10%):

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Understanding of privacy regulations and policies.
  • Proficient communication, program organization, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to provide proof of a valid driver's license and work independently.
  • Competence in utilizing personal computer applications and troubleshooting technology.
  • Ability to interact effectively with diverse groups and maintain professional relationships.
