Director of Business Development Position

We are seeking a seasoned Director of Business Development to spearhead business development initiatives and secure high-value construction projects in the public sector, specifically within K-12, community college, or higher education.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Leverage existing industry relationships to drive business growth and identify new opportunities.
  • Collaborate with the Marketing Manager to craft compelling proposals, including content creation as needed.
  • Strategize and lead efforts on public and private bid processes, including Design-Build and CM at Risk projects.
  • Maintain client relationships and represent the company at industry events.
  • Build and manage a pipeline of opportunities, focusing on high-value construction projects in North Carolina.

What We're Looking For:

  • A established network in the K-12, community college, or higher education construction sectors in NC.
  • Leadership experience working under a BD leader at a large firm and now ready to lead their own efforts.
  • Construction expertise from a contracting background, with familiarity in estimating or project management.
  • A relentless and driven mindset, with a strategic and solutions-focused approach.
  • Tech-savviness, proficient in Microsoft Suite, CRM tools, and Adobe InDesign.

Compensation:

The salary range for this position is $120,000 - $150,000 per year, depending on experience, plus benefits and bonuses.
