Job Summary

The Associate Director, Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A) position is a critical role within our finance team, responsible for providing financial leadership and guidance to achieve company objectives. This role will lead the annual financial plan, quarterly latest estimates (LEs) forecast, and monthly reporting processes for assigned areas. The successful candidate will possess a collaborative mindset, strong interpersonal skills, and the ability to build and manage effective working relationships throughout the organization.

Key Responsibilities

  • Business Partnering: Develops effective working relationships with business partners, influences strategic decisions, and challenges the status quo to find more optimal and cost-effective approaches.
  • Financial Plan and Latest Estimates (LEs): Leads the annual financial plan and LE forecast cycles, collaborates with business partners to monitor revenue and expense performance indicators, and develops proposals to mitigate or enhance risks and opportunities.
  • Management Reporting: Prepares monthly reporting packages, works with business partners to analyze variances, and develops key performance indicators (KPIs) and other tools to evaluate performance across the business.
  • Alliance Management: Develops a strong working relationship within the alliance, drives the alliance forecasting process, and provides guidance on financial matters to commercialization teams.
  • Change Management and Special Projects: Responsible for developing and improving processes to enhance efficiencies, offering novel solutions and perspectives aligned with company goals, and accountable for ad hoc special projects as they arise.

Qualifications

The successful candidate will possess a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field, with a minimum of 7 years of experience in accounting and/or FP&A-related work, and/or pharmaceutical/R&D experience. An MBA in Finance is preferred, and a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) certification is also desirable.

Travel

The position requires limited travel, up to 10%, for accounting conferences, trainings, and other business-related activities.
