Position Overview

The Cost Estimator at Tech24 plays a crucial role in the Facilities Management sector, focusing on the assessment and pricing of service requests.

Note: This position is not available for remote work.

The Estimator will collaborate closely with Technicians to identify and articulate the necessary scopes of work for equipment repair solutions. Responsibilities include delivering estimates both verbally and in written form, along with following up with customers to secure proposal approvals.

The ideal candidate will exhibit a proactive mindset, exceptional organizational capabilities, and strong communication skills across various platforms.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Accurately and efficiently generate estimates for upcoming projects.
  • Prepare professional written estimates for customer review and approval.
  • Coordinate with the parts specialist to ensure precise part pricing.
  • Engage with the service manager and department head to confirm overall estimate pricing.
  • Follow up with clients to obtain approval for estimates.
  • Ensure consistency in estimates for individual clients and across different clients.
  • Propose and implement procedures to enhance the estimation process.
  • Work alongside technicians to gather all necessary information for completing estimates.
Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Experience in estimating for HVAC/R, Commercial Kitchen Equipment, Facilities Maintenance, or similar service fields is highly desirable.
  • Valid driver's license and dependable transportation.
  • Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office and Google online tools, with the ability to adapt to Global Edge or similar software.
  • General understanding of enterprise operations.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of departmental procedures and functions.
  • Ability to efficiently type estimates.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Ability to interact professionally with clients and team members.
  • Adhere to all company policies and safety regulations.
