Job Description

Unreal Gigs is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Engineering Manager to lead our software development team. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for guiding the team towards achieving our company's goals and objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Team Leadership and Development:
  • Lead, mentor, and develop a team of software engineers, fostering a collaborative, innovative, and high-performing environment.
  • Set the tone, guide the team, and ensure that each engineer has the support they need to succeed.
  • Project Management and Delivery:
  • Oversee the execution of multiple projects, ensuring that they are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
  • Coordinate with other departments to ensure that all project goals are aligned and met.
  • Process Improvement Champion:
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement best practices to enhance team productivity and product quality.
  • Streamline workflows, introduce new tools and methodologies, and ensure that our development processes are efficient and effective.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration:
  • Work closely with product managers, designers, QA, and other stakeholders to ensure successful project delivery.
  • Be the bridge between engineering and the rest of the organization, ensuring that communication is clear and objectives are aligned.
  • Talent Acquisition and Retention:
  • Play a key role in recruiting top engineering talent and retaining high performers.
  • Help build a team that is not only technically skilled but also aligned with the company's culture and values.
  • Quality Assurance Advocate:
  • Ensure that all engineering outputs meet rigorous quality standards.
  • Implement testing strategies, code reviews, and continuous integration practices to ensure that our products are reliable and high-quality.
  • Performance Management:
  • Conduct regular performance reviews, provide constructive feedback, and set clear goals for team members.
  • Ensure that every engineer is on a path of continuous improvement and career growth.

Requirements:

  • Strong background in software engineering, with a deep understanding of software development methodologies, tools, and best practices.

  • Proven experience leading and mentoring software engineering teams, with a track record of delivering successful projects.
