Job Title: Direct Support Professional II

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Direct Support Professional II to join our team at the Institute for Community Living. As a DSP II, you will play a vital role in providing support and services to individuals with severe intellectual and/or developmental disabilities (IDD) in our residential programs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide a variety of levels of support and services to individuals with IDD, including encouraging, guiding, teaching, and advocating for their needs and goals.
  • Assist with daily living tasks, such as personal care, meal preparation, and household chores.
  • Develop and implement individualized plans to promote the growth and independence of individuals with IDD.
  • Collaborate with other staff members, supervisors, and clinical staff to ensure comprehensive support and services.
  • Participate in staff meetings and training sessions to stay up-to-date on best practices and policies.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor's degree in a related field preferred.
  • 2+ years of experience working with individuals with IDD or in a related field.
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing situations.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
