As a Project Manager, you will:
- Assess project specifications, blueprints, and associated documents to grasp project objectives, establishing thorough project timelines in collaboration with the team while pinpointing critical installation deadlines.
- Supervise the acquisition of necessary supplies and materials for project execution, actively engaging in project cost evaluations to guarantee financial prudence.
- Assist the Operations Manager in hiring subcontractors, coordinating their efforts to align with project scope, timelines, and budgetary constraints while ensuring compliance with safety standards.
- Conduct orientation sessions for project technicians, providing essential project documentation such as scope of work, technical schematics, project contacts, and application-engineered diagrams.
- Meticulously monitor project resources and progress, documenting any occurrences that affect the schedule, scope, and overall efficiency; identify and pursue opportunities for project-specific modifications.
- Oversee project-specific billing coordination with the accounting team and Operations Manager, schedule commissioning resources, expedite the return of mark-ups for as-built documentation, and ensure timely completion of project-specific close-out paperwork.
Your qualifications will make a difference:
Basic Qualifications:
- High school diploma or state-recognized GED.
- A minimum of 3 years of experience in the commercial Fire and Life Safety or related sectors.
- Familiarity with local and national (NFPA) fire alarm codes and regulations; ability to interpret drawings and specifications, as well as electrical, network, and control wiring diagrams.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and Microsoft Project.
- Qualified candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer-based sponsorship.
- Must be at least 21 years old and possess a valid driver's license with minimal violations.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Associate or Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering is preferred.
- 5+ years of experience in the commercial fire and life safety sector.
- NICET certification.
