General Summary

Works in conjunction with Assembly Process Engineers to develop and maintain manufacturing techniques and processes. Can recognize and utilize prescribed techniques to solve problems. Recommends and executes enhancements to product and process flows.

Responsibilities

  • Supports Process Engineers in establishing high-yielding, cost-effective processes based on product needs and customer requirements.
  • Complies with Company policies, operating procedures, processes, and task assignments.
  • Sets up and operates equipment and develop process programs.
  • With direction from Process Engineers, executes design of experiments (DOE) and gathers data for analysis.
  • Using principles of cost of goods sold and can execute process improvements to increase cost effectiveness of manufacturing.
  • Serves as member on cross-functional project teams.
  • OTHER DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
    • Performs other related duties and responsibilities, on occasion, as assigned.
    • Maintains well-organized and audit ready work areas.
    • Utilizes computer-based manufacturing systems to move product and enter data.

Qualifications

  • AS degree in Engineering or Technical Field required; advanced degree preferred.
  • Minimum 3 years relevant engineering experience.
  • Strong electro-mechanical aptitude; can identify and resolve complex system problems.
  • Ability to work within a team and as an individual contributor in a fast-paced, changing environment.
  • Strong verbal and written communications with ability to effectively communicate at multiple levels in the organization.
  • Must be able to accurately follow written and verbal instructions.
  • Must be able to multitask, and prioritize projects assigned.
  • Ability to work in a highly matrixed and diverse business environment.
