We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Event Manager to join our team at Gourmet Caterers, Inc. in New England. As a key member of our events team, you will be responsible for planning and executing high-quality events that exceed our clients' expectations.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement event plans, including communication with sales and operations teams, property tours, and creation of service plans and staffing deployments.
- Collaborate with sales teams to ensure events are set up and serviced according to client and sales manager expectations.
- Provide clear and open communication with front-of-house and back-of-house staff.
- Ensure accurate opening and closing liquor, rental, and equipment inventories.
- Oversee event execution, including setting up events, managing staff, and working closely with clients and sales managers to ensure successful and memorable events.
- This role requires the ability to stand for extended periods, carry or lift items up to 50 pounds, and bend, stoop, and kneel.
- A minimum of 1-3 years of management experience in a high-volume event environment.
- Extensive knowledge of event logistics, attention to detail, and ability to lead a team under stressful situations.
- Ability to deliver high-impact customer service moments and provide superb quality food and beverage experiences.
- Diligent and process-oriented to maximize efficiencies and effectiveness.
- Honest, reliable, creative, and respectful.
The schedule is based on business needs, requiring availability on days, nights, weekends, and holidays.
