Job Title: Director, Learning, Organizational Development and Communications

Job Summary:

The Riverside Community College District is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Director, Learning, Organizational Development and Communications to lead the development and implementation of a comprehensive learning and organizational development program. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, planning, and delivering training programs, workshops, and seminars to meet the District's needs for a productive and motivated workforce.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive learning and organizational development program that aligns with the District's strategic goals and objectives.
  • Design, plan, and deliver training programs, workshops, and seminars to meet the needs of the District's employees.
  • Conduct needs assessments and follow-up surveys to evaluate the effectiveness of training programs.
  • Develop and maintain a resource library of training materials, including articles, books, and online resources.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure that training programs are aligned with the District's overall goals and objectives.
  • Develop and implement a budget for training programs and ensure that expenses are within budget.
  • Supervise and evaluate the performance of assigned staff.
  • Represent the District on committees and participate in local, regional, and state activities to promote the RCCD mission and the community college movement.

Requirements:

  • Masters degree in business or public administration, human resources, or a related field from an accredited institution.
  • Five years of experience designing, facilitating, and evaluating training programs, with three years of experience coordinating and/or supervising the work of others within an HR function.
  • Experience using eLearning and design technologies to develop online courses and learning content.
  • Professional HR Certification (e.g. SHRM-CP, SHRM SCP, PHR, or SPHR) is desired.

Working Conditions:

The work location and assignment within a job classification is determined by the District and may be subject to change. The District provides a health and welfare benefit package for employees and legal qualifying dependents.
