Overview

Core Animation serves as the foundational graphics compositing engine for all Apple devices that utilize a display. Our team is in search of an exceptional software engineer to contribute to the technologies that power the iPhone, iPad, Mac, Apple Watch, and Apple TV, along with confidential projects. By engaging with the core graphics frameworks within Apple's operating systems, you will have the chance to significantly influence the user experience for all Apple customers.

Role Responsibilities

As a member of the Core Animation team, you will collaborate with a highly proficient engineering group in the design and execution of essential rendering technologies.
  • Minimum of 5 years in software development and project management
  • A strong enthusiasm for both 2D and 3D graphics
  • Proficient in C/C++ programming
  • Strong skills in software architecture, problem-solving, and debugging
  • Familiarity with OpenGL, Vulkan, Metal, or similar GPU programming interfaces
  • Background in software performance evaluation, optimizations, and low-level systems programming

Compensation & Benefits
  • At Apple, the base salary is one component of our comprehensive compensation package and is determined within a specified range. This structure allows for growth as you develop within your role. The base salary range for this position is between $175,800 and $312,200, with actual compensation depending on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.

    Apple employees have the opportunity to become shareholders through participation in Apple's discretionary employee stock programs. Employees may be eligible for discretionary restricted stock unit awards and can purchase Apple stock at a discount through the Employee Stock Purchase Plan. Additional benefits include: comprehensive medical and dental coverage, retirement plans, discounts on products and services, and reimbursement for educational expenses related to career advancement at Apple. This role may also qualify for discretionary bonuses or commission payments, as well as relocation assistance.
