Job Title: Information Governance Engineer

Targa Resources is seeking an experienced Information Governance Engineer to join our team. This role will be responsible for ensuring the integrity and availability of company data, as well as maintaining company's technical business glossary/data dictionary.

The estimated salary for this position is $125,000 - $155,000 per year, depending on location and experience.

Job Description:
We are looking for an individual with strong technical skills to work with IT teams to evaluate, implement, and maintain information management systems, databases, and data repositories. Additionally, this person will be responsible for collaborating with data analytics to produce interactive and intuitive dashboards and reports.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and maintain data governance policies, procedures, and guidelines to ensure the integrity and availability of company data.
  • Work closely with business units to classify and categorize data to enable appropriate access controls.
  • Monitor compliance with data management processes, regulatory data requirements, internal policies, and report any potential risks or violations to relevant stakeholders.

Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • BS engineering degree or related field from an accredited university.
  • 5 years minimum in natural gas midstream industry, with an understanding of gas gathering, gas processing, transportation, and fractionation.
  • Familiarity with data management tools (e.g. Microsoft SharePoint), database systems, and data visualization platforms (e.g. Microsoft Power BI).
  • Ability to interface effectively with all levels within the company as well as organizations outside the company.
