Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Building Construction Technology Instructor to join our team at The Tennessee Board of Regents. As a key member of our faculty, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality instruction to our students, preparing them for successful careers in the building construction industry.

Key Responsibilities
  • Instruct justice-involved students in technical training to prepare them for re-entry into the job market in the building construction field.
  • Develop and deliver individualized instruction in all phases of the Building Construction Technology program, using the prescribed curriculum.
  • Administer assessments to evaluate student progress and maintain accurate academic records.
  • Stay current in the building construction industry through ongoing training and professional development.
Requirements
  • High degree of knowledge in carpentry, plumbing, electrical, and masonry.
  • Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office applications.
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and networking skills.
  • Ability to relate and communicate effectively with a diverse faculty, staff, and student population.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Technical Diploma and/or Associates Degree in a related field.
  • Industry-recognized certifications and/or license in the field.
  • Teaching experience in a post-secondary setting.
