Key Responsibilities- Instruct justice-involved students in technical training to prepare them for re-entry into the job market in the building construction field.
- Develop and deliver individualized instruction in all phases of the Building Construction Technology program, using the prescribed curriculum.
- Administer assessments to evaluate student progress and maintain accurate academic records.
- Stay current in the building construction industry through ongoing training and professional development.
- High degree of knowledge in carpentry, plumbing, electrical, and masonry.
- Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office applications.
- Excellent organizational, communication, and networking skills.
- Ability to relate and communicate effectively with a diverse faculty, staff, and student population.
- Technical Diploma and/or Associates Degree in a related field.
- Industry-recognized certifications and/or license in the field.
- Teaching experience in a post-secondary setting.
