Director of Information Technology Policy

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to serve as the Director of the Committee on Information Technology (COIT). The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the development and implementation of technology policies and strategies that support the City and County of San Francisco's goals and objectives.
Key Responsibilities- Collaborate with the Department of Technology and other City departments to identify, develop, and promulgate policies that support effective use of technology to deliver excellent service to the public.
- Oversee the planning, facilitation, and execution of COIT monthly meetings and subcommittee meetings, ensuring compliance with all city and state open meeting requirements.
- Work with the City Administrator and Deputy City Administrator to identify key policy issues and provide for efficient and meaningful discussions at COIT meetings.
- Develop and implement the biennial five-year Information and Communication Technology (ICT) Plan for approval by the Mayor and the Board of Supervisors.
- Monitor and support technology project implementation by City departments, evaluating effectiveness and making recommendations for improvement.
- Represent the department before Boards, Commissions, and Committees, and manage a team of three, communicating job expectations and appraising results.
- Possession of a bachelor's degree in public policy, public or business administration, law, or finance.
- Four years of verifiable progressively responsible administrative, project management, and/or policy experience.
- Desirable qualifications include possession of an advanced degree, managerial and administrative experience in a public sector agency, and experience developing and managing technology strategy and policy.
The City and County of San Francisco offers a competitive salary range of $139,594 to $178,178 annually, as well as a comprehensive benefits package and opportunities for professional growth and development.
