Position Overview:

We are in search of skilled Automation Engineers at various levels to become integral members of our client's Site Capacity team. This role is vital for ensuring that innovative processes and equipment adhere to both local and international regulations. The ideal candidate will be tasked with the development, implementation, and maintenance of process control systems that align with the evolving demands of customers, business operations, and compliance standards. This position provides a platform to engage in pioneering projects aimed at enhancing operational efficiency and quality.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Collaborate with project teams on a local and global scale to ensure that process designs meet all regulatory standards.
  2. Establish interface agreements and align specifications with equipment suppliers.
  3. Formulate and execute strategies to maintain and enhance process control systems in line with manufacturing timelines.
  4. Oversee and manage budget allocations for system upkeep and enhancements.
  5. Uphold automation standards, specifications, and comprehensive maintenance plans.
  6. Act as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) during audits and inspections concerning process control systems.
  7. Mentor and educate colleagues and stakeholders on best practices in automation and process control.
  8. Employ systematic problem-solving tools, process improvement methodologies, and project management techniques.
  9. Ensure all modifications comply with stringent quality and risk management protocols.
  10. Support various corporate and local IT initiatives and projects.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related discipline, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 1 to 7 years of engineering experience in process-oriented manufacturing, utilities, or packaging systems.
  • Proficiency in PLC, SCADA, MES, Oracle, and MS SQL systems.
  • Demonstrated project management capabilities with a history of successful project execution.
  • Exceptional planning and organizational skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal abilities, with a capacity to work collaboratively in a team setting.

Physical & Other Requirements:

  • Ability to occasionally lift equipment and/or supplies weighing up to 35 pounds without assistance.
  • Must be capable of lifting objects up to 45 lbs. with assistance.
  • Ability to work in various physical positions, including climbing ladders and operating in elevated or confined spaces.
  • Willingness to work in environments requiring hearing protection and other safety gear.
  • Flexibility to work outside of standard hours as necessary in a 24/7 manufacturing environment.
  • Willingness to travel internationally up to 15% of the time.
