Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced professional to join our team as an Employer Relations Manager. This role will play a critical part in developing and executing strategies to cultivate and nurture employer relationships that lead to successful career outcomes for our students.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct outreach to existing and prospective employer partners to identify and promote career opportunities for students and alumni
  • Serve as a knowledgeable key contact to promote CSU's College of Business and encourage employers to leverage our services
  • Manage data related to events and employer activities to inform decisions on prospective corporate partnerships
  • Collaborate with other COB centers and academic departments to foster deepened corporate relations and engagement with the College
  • Oversee the planning and coordination of career fairs, networking events, panel discussions, and other programming that engages employers
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree required
  • Minimum of 2 years' experience in marketing, business development, and/or recruiting
  • Minimum of 2 years' experience with relationship management and cultivating partnerships
  • Strong interpersonal communication skills and ability to build partner relationships
  • Experience working with Handshake and other career services software
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Degree in business administration, communications, journalism, public relations, or a similarly related field
  • Professional commitment to CSU's Principles of Community
  • 3+ years' experience in marketing, business development, and/or recruiting
  • Experience planning and executing career events within a career services office within higher education

Essential Duties:
  • Employer Relations Strategy and Outreach:
    • Conduct outreach to existing and prospective employer partners
    • Serve as a knowledgeable key contact to promote CSU's College of Business
    • Manage data related to events and employer activities
  • Communications, Marketing, and Event Strategy:
    • Oversee employer relations activities, including planning and coordinating career fairs and other events
    • Lead the marketing and outreach strategy of events and programming that engages employers
  • Management and Strategic Oversight:
    • Collaborate with the Manager of Employer Relations to lead team meetings and provide team updates
    • Oversee the Marketing and Outreach Specialist and student staff who support the execution of strategic marketing and outreach efforts
