The Assistant Community Manager plays a vital role in supporting the Community Manager with various property management tasks, including leasing, rent collection, maintenance coordination, resident relations, and financial reporting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in leasing activities, including application processing, property tours, and lease agreement preparation.
- Address resident inquiries and concerns promptly and professionally.
- Coordinate maintenance requests and ensure timely completion of work orders.
- Manage move-in and move-out processes, including unit inspections and documentation.
- Handle rent collection, prepare deposits, and maintain accurate resident account records.
- Contribute to the preparation of monthly and annual financial reports, including occupancy and delinquency reports.
- Assist in organizing resident events and activities.
- Maintain up-to-date resident and vendor files.
- Ensure compliance with Fair Housing laws and relevant regulations regarding resident relations and community operations.
- Adhere to all property management policies and procedures.
- Follow safety protocols as outlined in the Employee Handbook and SOPs.
- Maintain a professional demeanor and represent the company positively.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; some college coursework in business, real estate, or a related field is preferred.
- At least one year of bookkeeping, accounting, or financial experience is preferred.
- A minimum of two years of sales experience is preferred.
- Experience in onsite multi-family housing is preferred.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook is required.
- Familiarity with property management software (e.g., Yardi Voyager, RentCafe) is preferred.
- Knowledge of property management laws and regulations is essential.
- Strong customer service orientation and passion for property management.
- Desire to take a leadership role within the community.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
