Job Summary

The Internal Revenue Service is seeking an Administrative Support Specialist to provide administrative support to multiple managers and groups. The ideal candidate will have experience operating a variety of software systems, preparing documents, inputting data, compiling and generating reports, and monitoring administrative controls.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide administrative support to multiple managers and groups, including preparing documents, inputting data, and compiling and generating reports.
  • Operate a variety of software systems, including those used for case management, data analysis, and report generation.
  • Monitor administrative controls, including ensuring compliance with established procedures and formats.
  • Retrieve reports and technical material from automated systems, including ERCS, RGS, CEAS, ICS, Entity, and ATFR.
  • Verify completeness and accuracy of case controls, including identifying and resolving inconsistencies.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree or four years of education above high school in any field of study from an accredited college or university.
  • One year of experience providing clerical and administrative support to managers and staff.
  • Experience operating a variety of software systems, including those used for case management, data analysis, and report generation.
  • Experience responding to and referring taxpayer/customer complaints and inquiries.
  • Experience with internal regulations, manuals, and directives pertaining to clerical and administrative policies and practices.
