About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled E-Discovery Specialist to join our team at the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation (FDIC). As a key member of our eDiscovery Group, you will be responsible for executing eDiscovery searches, reviews, and analysis for attorneys in the Legal Division.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and execute search, review, and analysis strategies for employing sophisticated eDiscovery software applications to locate, recover, organize, and produce potentially responsive electronically stored information (ESI).
  • Provide agency attorneys and paralegals with training and technical assistance on the effective use of eDiscovery software and tools.
  • Partner with agency attorneys to identify and develop specifications for upgrading eDiscovery software applications and databases, budget for future eDiscovery operations, and supervise the activities of private contractors hired to assist in completing high-volume eDiscovery projects.
  • Facilitate the analysis and disclosure of ESI collected for eDiscovery purposes, monitor data collection efforts, create appropriate file structures, convert document images, and create and edit load files.
Requirements
  • Qualifying experience may be obtained in the private or public sector, including experience in providing eDiscovery support in investigations or litigation across various phases of the eDiscovery process.
  • Applicants must have at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the CG-11 level in the federal service.
  • Applicants must have met the qualification requirements (including selective placement factors - if any) for this position within 30 calendar days of the closing date of this announcement.
