About the Role

Clifford Chance US LLP is seeking a highly skilled Forensic Technology Manager to join our team in the United States. As a key member of our in-house forensic technology and e-discovery service, you will be responsible for implementing, operating, and supporting the expansion of our US-based e-disclosure capabilities.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Project Management: Take ownership of e-disclosure projects, including litigation and arbitration matters, data subject access requests, regulatory, and corporate investigations.
  2. Technical Expertise: Deliver technical and consultancy services to legal teams and clients through technology and training, working through the various stages of the Electronic Discovery Reference Model (EDRM) with the application of relevant court rules and practice directions.
  3. Client Engagement: Engage with legal teams and clients on scoping projects and recommending appropriate workflows.
  4. Forensic Collections: Project scoping, workflow conception, execution of forensically sound collections through proposed workflows, data processing, relevant data identification, and project management on e-discovery matters.
  5. Reporting and Visualization: Advise legal teams on technical concepts in an easy-to-understand manner and present findings through concise, forensically accurate reports and data visualization.
  6. Relationship Management: Manage strong working relationships with lawyers, clients, and e-disclosure suppliers.
  7. Process Improvement: Contribute to internal procedures and methodologies, including evidence management and automation of processes.
  8. Technological Development: Maintain up-to-date knowledge and understanding of relevant technological developments in the forensic technology and e-discovery area.
  9. Global Expansion: Promote e-disclosure services globally across all our offices and support the expansion of the e-disclosure business and in-house team.
Requirements
  1. Education: Bachelor's degree in a technology-related discipline, such as Computer Science, Software Engineering, Digital Forensics, or Math, required. Master's degree preferred.
  2. Experience: 3-5 years of related experience with Relativity and e-discovery review management, preferably at a major accounting, consulting, or law firm.
  3. Technical Skills: Solid experience in using Relativity, including processing, Relativity analytics, e-discovery review workflows, and productions.
  4. Certifications: Relativity Certified Administrator (RCA) or equivalent e-discovery certifications preferred.
  5. Scripting Language: Ability to implement the use of technology-assisted reviews (TAR), email threading, and near-duplication functions on projects.
  6. Technical Understanding: Strong technical understanding of e-disclosure and litigation support.
  7. Scripting Language: Scripting language experience, particularly SQL, Python, or VBA.
  8. Delivering Projects: Evidence of delivering e-disclosure projects, document reviews, and productions.
  9. Collaboration: Ability to work collaboratively within a team and independently.
  10. Communication: Excellent interpersonal skills, ability to convey technical information in a simple-to-understand language to our clients and lawyers.
  11. Work Authorization: Must be independently legally authorized to work in the United States.
