Job Title: Head Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Coach

At UFC GYM, we are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Coach to lead our BJJ program. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for managing and overseeing the program, ensuring its success and growth.

Responsibilities:
  • Manage and assist with the BJJ program at the club location, ensuring a high level of quality and customer satisfaction.
  • Coordinate UFC GYM BJJ Youth and Adult programs, developing and implementing effective training plans and schedules.
  • Track BJJ Program/classes and provide recommendations for ongoing improvement, ensuring a positive member experience.
  • Assist with selling BJJ small group Private lessons and or 1 on 1 sessions, promoting our services to members and non-members alike.
  • Organize and promote UFC GYM BJJ in-house events, tournaments, and seminars, showcasing our expertise and building a sense of community.
  • Ensure instructors are following class curriculum, format, and regulations, including UFC GYM GIs by instructors and members.
  • Organize and promote UFC GYM BJJ belt promotions, ensuring instructors are following the stripe and belt promotion system.
  • Issue stripes to students that qualify and recommend students that are ready to test, maintaining a fair and transparent process.
  • Attend monthly meetings and conference calls, staying informed and contributing to the growth of our program.
  • Collaborate with other UFC GYM BJJ instructors to maintain the integrity of the UFC GYM BJJ program, promoting a culture of excellence.
  • Regular communication with Regional BJJ Director, ensuring alignment and support for our program.
  • Help build a sense of community and belonging among members, fostering a positive and inclusive environment.
Key Qualifications:
  • Minimum of Purple belt or higher, with a strong understanding of Private Training techniques from assessment to program design.
  • Knowledge of company policies, practices, and procedures, including emergency and safety procedures.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to generate, maintain, and demonstrate a friendly, enthusiastic, and positive attitude.
  • Customer service focus, responding professionally to requests and inquiries from guests, members, and staff.
  • Computer proficiency with basic skills in Word and Excel, with the ability to operate office equipment such as computers, calculators, fax, and photocopiers.
  • Ability to work, setup, and execute successful weekends, with a strong sense of self-motivation and customer service.
