As a Project Manager, you will play a pivotal role in maintaining and directing future projects, ensuring they are completed on schedule, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

  • Oversee and manage all phases of construction projects, including project teams, subcontractors, materials, and equipment.
  • Collaborate with the preconstruction team to finalize project budgets, estimates, bids, negotiations, reports, permits, buyout processes, and procurement.
  • Organize and conduct pre-construction meetings with subcontractors to ensure seamless project execution.
  • Implement safety standards and quality assurance controls on each project, guaranteeing a safe working environment and exceptional results.
  • Identify and resolve conflicts in construction progress or schedule, ensuring projects stay on track.
  • Review and maintain the Request for Information (RFI) Log, ensuring record drawings and as-builts are updated and maintained.
  • Build and maintain relationships with owners, architects, and subcontractors to open future opportunities and successfully complete projects.
  • Participate in management, weekly project, and safety meetings, as well as performance evaluation meetings and regular staff meetings.
  • Coordinate and document construction projects from subcontractor payments, SWPP plans, safety procedures, to final punch lists and final payment in a timely manner and according to project schedule.
  • Mentor and encourage subordinate growth and development, and build the morale of all project team members through positive reinforcement, feedback, etc.
  • Work with the project team to establish goals and develop accountability.
  • Schedule, prepare, and conduct performance evaluations and reports of staff members.
  • Seek input from staff on how to improve process, project, company, etc.
  • Manage project finances, including risk exposure processes, properly coded purchases, subcontractor supplements, and change order processes.

Requirements:

  • Experience in managing a team of individuals and leading them to success.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills to address a variety of audiences.
  • Ability to read and comprehend complex instructions, correspondence, memos, plans, construction documents, contract documents, and specifications.
  • Ability to prioritize and multitask.
  • Proactive and deadline-oriented.
  • Advanced understanding of construction scheduling and cost control.
  • General knowledge of LEED principles.
  • Familiarity with a wide range of equipment and tools; proficiency in skilled construction, maintenance, and repair tasks.
  • Effective communication with customers, vendors, and employees at all levels of the organization.
  • Proficient in Microsoft suite, Microsoft Project, BlueBeam, and able to navigate and/or use CAD software.

Education/Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in construction management or related field.
  • 5+ years related experience on commercial projects.
  • HUD project experience preferred but not required.
