Position Overview:

Lucas James Talent Partners is on the lookout for a skilled Business Analyst who will play a crucial role in delivering impactful software solutions tailored for our clients and end-users. This position is pivotal in ensuring alignment with the strategic objectives of the organization.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Refine and prioritize overarching business objectives for software development initiatives.
  • Conduct thorough research and analysis while collaborating with both internal and external stakeholders to gather business requirements.
  • Design features that correspond with project objectives, meticulously documenting requirements and acceptance criteria for user stories.
  • Create and maintain process models, workflow diagrams, and other visual aids to represent current and proposed business operations.
  • Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams, including Product Management, User Experience, Architecture, Engineering, and Quality Assurance.
  • Oversee and prioritize the product backlog for the development team, engaging in backlog refinement sessions.
  • Participate actively in team sprint ceremonies such as planning sessions, daily stand-ups, and sprint reviews.
  • Serve as the intermediary between development teams and internal/external stakeholders.
  • Facilitate internal knowledge transfers and conduct product demonstrations for company trainers.
  • During the development phase, review completed tasks to ensure business requirements are satisfied.
  • Maintain a comprehensive understanding of our products, client business processes, and industry standards.
  • Perform other related tasks as necessary.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Strong research and analytical capabilities.
  • Ability to convey technical information to a non-technical audience effectively.
  • Clear and concise verbal and written communication skills.
  • Interpersonal skills with a collaborative approach to working with diverse cross-functional teams.
  • Highly organized with meticulous attention to detail.
  • Ability to operate independently in a dynamic, agile environment.
  • Proven knowledge of scrum methodologies and best practices for business analysis.
  • Self-motivated and innovative problem solver with strategic thinking abilities.

Education and Experience:

  • A Bachelor's degree in a relevant field is preferred, or equivalent experience in lieu of a degree.
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in a Business Analyst, Product Analyst, or similar role within an enterprise software environment.
  • Experience in documenting user stories, use cases, and business requirements for B2B software applications.
  • Familiarity with the Software Development Life Cycle in a Software as a Service (SaaS) context.

Physical Requirements:

  • Extended periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Ability to lift up to 10 pounds occasionally.
