Role Summary:

We are in search of a dedicated Associate Scientist to become a vital member of our Analytical Development team, contributing to the advancement of allogeneic CAR T therapies. This role is essential in the development and execution of analytical assays related to CAR T cell therapy, ensuring the quality and reliability of drug product release and characterization.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct flow cytometry assessments for cell therapy products.
  • Oversee the maintenance, calibration, and operation of analytical instruments while managing sample inventories.
  • Ensure meticulous and timely documentation in electronic laboratory notebooks (ELN), with a strong focus on detail.
  • Effectively summarize and communicate experimental results, presenting findings to internal stakeholders during team meetings.
  • Assist in the optimization, development, and qualification of analytical methods to support product and process development.
  • Exhibit strong accountability, organizational skills, and interpersonal abilities, applying sound scientific and technical knowledge.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to achieve milestone deadlines and propel the development of Allogene's CAR T initiatives.
  • Perform additional duties as required.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree with 0-3 years of relevant experience in cell biology, immunology, or biochemistry.
  • Preferred experience in flow cytometry and data analysis.
  • Familiarity with data analysis tools such as Spotfire, FlowJo, FACSuite, and Microsoft Excel is advantageous.
  • Working knowledge of quality control and assay qualification is beneficial.
  • Self-driven, organized, and detail-oriented, with a proactive approach to assigned tasks.
  • Able to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment.
  • Authorization to work in the U.S. is required.
