Medical Support Specialist

The Medical Assistant is a vital member of our healthcare team, providing support to our licensed healthcare providers in a fast-paced clinical environment. As a Medical Assistant, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality patient care, maintaining accurate records, and ensuring a smooth workflow. If you are a detail-oriented and compassionate individual with excellent communication skills, we encourage you to apply for this exciting opportunity.
Key Responsibilities
• Provide clinical support to licensed healthcare providers, including taking vital signs, preparing patients for exams, and assisting with procedures.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, including medical histories, test results, and treatment plans.
• Ensure a clean and safe environment for patients and staff, adhering to infection control protocols and maintaining equipment and supplies.
• Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members, providing clear and concise information about treatment plans and test results.
• Perform administrative tasks, such as scheduling appointments, answering phone calls, and processing medical records.
Requirements
• Current registration/certification as a Medical Assistant preferred, or military medical experience with MA certification/registration required.
• Current CPR certification required.
• High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's degree or higher preferred.
• One to two years of experience in a related healthcare field preferred.
Working Conditions
• Expected to work in a patient care environment with minimal exposure to environmental hazards such as, but not limited to, excessive noise, dust, or extremes in temperatures.
• Exposure to communicable diseases and moderately adverse working conditions due to the need to perform certain patient care activities can be expected.
