About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity with a rapidly growing full-service HVAC company, GPAC, to hire a General Manager to provide our builder clients with world-class service. The purpose of the General Manager is to oversee the daily operations for the Commercial HVAC-related activities company-wide.

Key Responsibilities
  • Drive Business Results: Regularly use Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to manage accountabilities within the team and improve market efficiencies.
  • Provide Leadership: Offer regular and consistent guidance to the estimating team, communicating values, strategies, and objectives while providing motivation, training, and coaching.
  • Participate in Commercial HVAC Division Planning: Establish sales plans and budgets for assigned markets.
  • Manage P&L Activities: Analyze results and identify countermeasures to senior leadership.
  • Enforce Company Policies: Promote ethical business practices and ensure compliance with company procedures.
  • Develop Sales Strategies: Identify and secure revenue opportunities while building the company brand throughout the market.
  • Talent Management: Engage in recruitment strategy, performance management, employee development, and other related processes.
  • Communication: Regularly update associates at all levels on business updates and respond to associate feedback.
Requirements
  • Education: College Degree in Engineering or Business-related discipline.
  • Experience: Minimum of 5-10 years' related experience, including a minimum of 5 years in a management role.
  • Skills: Ability to review, analyze, and act on operational KPIs and P&L statement data. Strong PC skills, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and the ability to learn new programs.
  • Interpersonal Skills: Ability to interact with vendors and customers to drive top-line growth and margin targets.
  • Decision-Making: Strong decision-making skills with the ability to analyze information and determine appropriate actions.
  • Leadership: Strong leadership skills with the ability to coach and develop associates while driving accountability.
  • Organizational Skills: Strong organizational skills with the ability to multi-task and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
