Health Information Manager

We are seeking a motivated individual to join our team as a Health Information Manager at Central Regional Hospital (CRH) in the department of Health Information Management (HIM).
The primary purpose of this position is to code patient records using industry-standard coding systems. The manager will be responsible for inputting codes into the HEARTS system using the abstracting screen through the Clintegrity encoder, and entering all visit data into HEARTS, utilizing information from Continuing Care Plan (CCP). This position will also oversee Forms Management.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coding and Data Entry: Code patient records using industry-standard coding systems, input codes into the HEARTS system, and enter all visit data into HEARTS.
- Forms Management: Retrieve necessary forms from various units and departments, maintain and track forms using the HIM master copy of the form's spreadsheet.
Additional Responsibilities:
- Documentation Management: Fax Discharge Summaries and Continuing Care Plans to the appropriate parties, update the tracking spreadsheet to ensure all information has been faxed timely, and follow up on all delinquent Discharge Summaries.
- Support Roles: Serve as backup to the Data Management position.
This is a full-time position with an estimated salary of $45,000-$60,000 per year, depending on experience. The normal work hours are 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday - Friday. Flexibility is required to meet hospital needs.

To qualify for this position, you must have a high school diploma or equivalent and two years of related administrative experience. Relevant skills and qualifications include ability to use software such as Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and electronic health record, HEARTS; ability to interact with employees, physicians, and other users of medical records; good communication and problem-solving skills; file efficiently with attention to detail; and demonstrate concern and courtesy to patients, families, vendors, and the general public.
