Obstetrician-Gynecologist Physician Opportunity in a Coastal Setting

We are seeking an experienced Obstetrician-Gynecologist to join our team at Granville Health System. This opportunity offers a unique blend of rural and coastal living, with easy access to the amenities of Raleigh.
About the RoleThis is a full-time position that will involve providing comprehensive care for women, including routine check-ups, preventive care, and management of complex medical conditions related to the female reproductive system. The successful candidate will have excellent clinical skills, strong communication abilities, and a passion for delivering high-quality patient care.
Key Responsibilities- Patient Care:
- Conduct routine and specialized exams to assess women's reproductive health, including prenatal, intrapartum, and postpartum care.
- Manage and monitor pregnancies, diagnose and treat gynecological conditions such as menstrual disorders, infertility, and pelvic pain.
- Develop and implement treatment plans, including medications, lifestyle changes, and surgical interventions.
- Surgical Procedures:
- Performing gynecological surgery, including hysterectomies, laparoscopies, and other minimally invasive procedures.
- Conduct deliveries, manage surgical complications and postoperative care.
- Patient Counseling and Education:
- Provide education on sexual and reproductive health, contraception, menopause, and other relevant topics.
- Offer emotional support and counseling to patients and their families.
- Address patient concerns and answer questions regarding health conditions and treatment options.
- Collaboration and Coordination:
- Work closely with other healthcare professionals, including nurses, midwives, and specialists to provide integrated care.
- Maintain accurate and confidential patient records.
- Administrative Duties:
- Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations and standards.
- Manage patient schedules and oversee administrative tasks related to patient care.
- Handle billing and documentation related to procedures and treatments.
- Education: Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree from an accredited medical school.
- Licensure: Valid medical license to practice in the state of North Carolina.
- Board Certification: Certification by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology (ABOG).
- Other Certifications: Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) and Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP).
This is a challenging yet rewarding role that requires strong clinical skills, excellent communication abilities, and a passion for delivering high-quality patient care. The ideal candidate will be able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and maintain accurate and confidential patient records.
The estimated salary range for this role is $250,000 - $350,000 per year, depending on experience.
