Ideal Candidate: The preferred candidate will be a bilingual clinical support specialist with prior experience in a healthcare environment, exceptional attention to detail, the ability to manage multiple tasks, and outstanding communication skills.
- Patient Care: Assist with patient care by measuring vital signs, preparing patients for examinations, and supporting the healthcare provider during assessments.
- Medical Records: Ensure accurate and current medical records are maintained, including electronic health records (EHR).
- Appointment Management: Organize appointments and follow-up visits for patients.
- Communication: Facilitate communication with patients and other healthcare providers to coordinate care and gather necessary information.
- Administrative Duties: Perform administrative responsibilities such as answering calls, managing patient schedules, and processing insurance claims.
- Compliance: Adhere to all applicable healthcare regulations and policies, including HIPAA and OSHA.
Work Environment: Maintain a clean and organized workspace.
Requirements:
- Bilingual in English and Spanish.
- Proficient in medical terminology.
- Experience in a clinical setting, ideally within neurology.
- Familiarity with eCW is preferred but not mandatory.
- Understanding of federal and state regulations affecting clinic operations, including HIPAA.
- Competence in MS Office applications, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Proficiency in electronic health records (EHR) and other software, including Zoom.
- Ability to embrace and manage diversity while building and maintaining effective teams.
Preferred Qualifications: Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) certification from an accredited program is preferred but not required.
