The American Heart Association has an exciting opportunity for a Human Resources Director in our Midwest region.

This role will serve as a business partner and advisor to leaders and employees in the development and implementation of human resources strategies and solutions that align with the Association's goals.

The ideal candidate will lead HR programs and regional learning and development activities, including leadership development and creating and facilitating virtual region-wide trainings.

This position can be home-based anywhere within our 13-state region.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Advise employees and managers on various Human Resources programs and procedures.
  • Utilize key HR metrics, data, and reports to provide insights and recommendations for continuous improvement in culture, leadership, processes, and practices.
  • Improve manager and employee performance by identifying and clarifying barriers to performance.
  • Lead assigned region-wide HR projects and programs, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and objectives.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required.
  • Training facilitation experience preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of employment laws, maintaining compliance, and ensuring adherence to internal policies/procedures.
  • Exceptional Microsoft Word and Excel skills.
  • Ability to complete and manage a variety of tasks/projects, particularly when faced with competing demands and priorities.
