Specialized Physical Therapist Role

Qualifications:

  • A minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in physical therapy from an accredited institution
  • Completion of a supervised clinical internship
  • Valid license to practice physical therapy in the state of Arkansas

Experience and Training:

  • One to three months of practical training on the job

Essential Knowledge:

  • Execute the responsibilities of a licensed physical therapist
  • Operate professionally with limited oversight

Key Responsibilities:

  • Uphold standards of patient care
  • Oversee therapy aides and technicians
  • Collaborate with medical personnel on patient care protocols
  • Engage with patients, physicians, and other healthcare professionals
  • Contribute to quality improvement initiatives
  • Ensure the maintenance of necessary equipment for procedures

Physical Demands:

  • Lift and transport equipment and supplies
  • Assist in the positioning and transferring of patients
  • Provide verbal and visual instructions effectively
