Key Responsibilities:

The Physical Therapist is accountable for:

  • Upholding standards of patient care in accordance with hospital regulations.
  • Collaborating with medical staff regarding policies and procedures related to patient care.
  • Supervising Physical Therapist Assistants and therapy aides.
  • Fostering positive relationships with other departments and nursing staff to enhance patient care quality.
  • Engaging in continuous quality improvement initiatives.
  • Assisting in the procurement and maintenance of necessary equipment for therapy procedures.

Physical Requirements:

The role necessitates the ability to lift and transport equipment, supplies, and materials. The Physical Therapist will assist patients with positioning and transfers as required for specific treatment plans. Effective communication skills are essential for conveying instructions and information to patients and team members. Visual acuity is required to monitor patient responses to treatment and to interpret instructions.
