We are looking for a dedicated and compassionate Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) to become a vital part of our pain management team. In this position, you will play a crucial role in providing effective rehabilitation services to patients suffering from chronic pain conditions. Your contributions will significantly impact patients' recovery journeys and enhance their overall well-being.

Core Responsibilities:

  1. Implementation of Treatment Plans: Assist in the delivery of tailored treatment strategies for patients dealing with chronic pain. This includes administering therapeutic exercises, performing manual therapy, and utilizing prescribed modalities under the guidance of the Physical Therapist.
  2. Monitoring Patient Progress: Observe and document the progress of patients, noting their responses to therapy and any potential side effects. Communicate important observations to the supervising Physical Therapist for necessary adjustments to treatment plans.
  3. Patient Education: Provide education to patients and their families regarding pain management strategies, home exercise routines, and lifestyle changes to optimize treatment results.
  4. Collaboration: Work closely with the Physical Therapist, medical professionals, and other healthcare staff to ensure a unified approach to patient care and effective management of pain-related challenges.
  5. Equipment Oversight: Prepare and maintain therapy equipment, ensuring a clean, organized, and safe environment for patient treatment.
  6. Administrative Assistance: Support administrative functions such as patient intake and scheduling to facilitate the efficient operation of the facility.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Associate's degree in Physical Therapy Assisting from an accredited institution.
  • Licensure: Current Physical Therapy Assistant license in the state.
  • Experience: Prior experience in a pain management or similar clinical environment is preferred but not mandatory.
  • Skills: Strong communication and interpersonal abilities, meticulous attention to detail, and the capacity to adhere to treatment protocols effectively.
  • Attributes: Empathetic, patient-focused, and able to collaborate within a multidisciplinary team.

Physical Demands:

  • Ability to lift, transfer, and assist patients as needed.
  • Capability to perform physical tasks associated with therapy and patient care.
