As a Culinary Operations Supervisor, you will be instrumental in crafting exquisite and inventive meals for airline passengers. Collaborating closely with the Executive Chef, your duties will encompass:

  • Overseeing kitchen operations, including food preparation, cooking, and presentation.
  • Leading and mentoring culinary staff to elevate their skills and productivity.
  • Upholding high standards in food quality, organization, and sanitation.
  • Ensuring compliance with food safety regulations and maintaining a safe working environment.
  • Assisting in the procurement of perishable and non-perishable supplies.
  • Managing food waste through accurate ordering and production calculations.
  • Contributing to the development and documentation of innovative recipes.
  • Promoting continuous improvement in culinary standards and operational efficiency.
  • Taking charge of culinary operations in the absence of the Executive Chef.
  • Supervising employee schedules and training procedures.
  • Ensuring the overall production of hot and cold dishes meets quality standards.
  • Documenting any work-related incidents and maintaining safety protocols.

Qualifications:
To be successful in this role, you should possess:

  • A minimum of an Associate's Degree in Culinary Arts or equivalent experience.
  • At least two years of experience as a Sous Chef or in a similar supervisory role.
  • Strong knowledge of kitchen equipment and culinary techniques.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Understanding of HACCP and sanitation standards.
  • Ability to manage food and labor costs effectively.
  • Proficiency in basic math and computer software, including Microsoft Office.

Work Environment:
This position is primarily conducted indoors, where the noise level may vary. The role requires standing for extended periods and lifting up to 30 pounds.
