Key Responsibilities
  • Assume administrative, operational, and clinical responsibilities for all services in the facility on evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Manage nursing staffing to ensure safe staffing levels and budgetary constraints are met.
  • Oversee admission and discharge functions.
  • Provide leadership, supervision, and serve as a role model to staff to ensure adherence to standards of clinical excellence and opportunities for professional development.
  • Monitor practice to ensure compliance with licensing and accrediting agency standards.
  • Participate in hospital committees and the performance improvement process.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Nursing required.
  • Minimum two years of diverse and well-rounded clinical experience required.
  • Prior management or supervisory experience preferred.
  • Current licensure from Massachusetts Board of Registration as Registered Nurse required.

Preferred Skills

  • Computer proficiency required.
  • Microsoft office applications preferred with ability to learn new software.
  • National certification in a nursing specialty preferred.

Work Environment

  • Work in a fast-paced environment with a high level of service delivery.
  • Ability to work independently and as a member of a team.
  • High level of attention to detail.
