Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Cook I to join our culinary team at Encore Boston Harbor. As a key member of our kitchen staff, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking meals to the highest standards, ensuring exceptional quality and presentation.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare and cook meals according to established recipes and standards.
  • Manage multiple hot and cold stations in the kitchen, ensuring efficient and safe food preparation.
  • Assist with food presentation, decoration, and storage, maintaining a clean and organized workspace.
  • Communicate effectively with colleagues and supervisors, providing updates on food preparation and any issues that may arise.
  • Participate in daily briefings and meetings, staying informed of kitchen operations and any changes to menus or procedures.
  • Maintain a safe and healthy work environment, adhering to all food safety and sanitation protocols.
Requirements
  • High school degree or equivalent preferred.
  • Minimum of 3 years of cooking experience, preferably in a high-volume kitchen environment.
  • Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work well under pressure.
  • Strong knowledge of food preparation, presentation, and safety protocols.
  • Ability to lift and maneuver heavy objects, and stand for long periods.
Working Environment

As a member of our culinary team, you will work in a fast-paced kitchen environment, interacting with colleagues and guests in a professional and courteous manner. You will be required to work varying schedules to reflect the business needs of the property, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
