Position Overview

This full-time and permanent role with Converge Technology Solutions involves identifying and securing new business opportunities while nurturing and expanding existing accounts. The Account Executive will engage in cross-selling a diverse range of products and services, including hardware, software, cloud solutions, professional services, advisory services, and managed services. The role also entails performing essential sales administrative tasks such as utilizing CRM systems, forecasting, deal registrations, and preparing presentations and proposals. The ideal candidate will have a robust network within their region and take pride in their established professional connections.

Key Responsibilities

  • Implement sales strategies by assessing and qualifying customer requirements and positioning suitable solutions.
  • Drive sales growth and market presence through marketing initiatives, in-person meetings, and vendor partnerships.
  • Comprehend customer challenges, needs, and purchasing cycles to foster strong relationships that promote sales and repeat business.
  • Collaborate with the sales support team to ensure accurate quote generation and order processing.
  • Work alongside the engineering team to accurately define project scopes to propose optimal solutions.
  • Maintain relationships with various levels of customer contacts, particularly focusing on executive-level relationships within IT and business units.
  • Develop proposals and prepare sales materials for clients.
  • Engage in ongoing sales training to enhance performance, refine sales skills, stay updated on emerging technologies, and maintain necessary sales certifications.
  • Contribute to company initiatives aimed at enhancing the quality of the sales organization.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Required Skills and Qualifications

Education and Experience

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in technology sales with a solid grasp of business and operational requirements.
  • Experience in selling technology vendor products such as Dell, IBM, HPE, Cisco, Microsoft, Nvidia, and others.
  • Experience in selling technology services, including cloud support, managed services, network infrastructure, and cybersecurity.
  • Proven track record of building executive-level relationships in the technology sector.

Work Environment

  • This position is based in a metropolitan area, covering a designated region for Converge.
  • Travel to client locations may be required.
