Clinical Nurse II

UNC Health is seeking a skilled Clinical Nurse II to join our team at the UNC Medical Center. As a member of our interdisciplinary team, you will provide high-quality care to adult post-surgical patients with complex non-cancer gastrointestinal-related illnesses.
Responsibilities- Provide competent clinical nursing care to patients with complex needs, including those requiring close post-operative observation, remote cardiac telemetry, and extensive physical therapies.
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized care plans, ensuring the physical, psychosocial, and educational needs of patients are met.
- Participate in education programs to enhance your skills and knowledge, and utilize patient education materials to promote patient understanding and empowerment.
- Assess and anticipate discharge needs of patients and families, developing relationships that promote their ability to advocate for themselves.
- Contribute to the development and achievement of unit goals and performance improvement activities, promoting a safe, clean, and secure hospital environment.
- Graduation from a school of professional nursing.
- Licensed to practice as a Registered Nurse in the state of North Carolina.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Provider certification.
- One year of relevant and current experience in a hospital setting.
