Clinical Nurse II

We are seeking a highly skilled Clinical Nurse II to join our team at UNC Medical Center. As a member of our interdisciplinary team, you will provide high-quality patient care to adult post-surgical patients with weight loss issues, gastrointestinal cancers, and complex non-cancer GI-related illnesses.
Responsibilities- Provide competent clinical nursing care consistent with professional standards, utilizing the nursing process in a hospital setting.
- Collaborate with patients, families, and healthcare teams to develop and implement individualized care plans.
- Participate in education programs to enhance knowledge and skills, and utilize patient education materials relevant to the patient population.
- Assess and prioritize patient needs, utilizing evidence-based practices to promote optimal patient outcomes.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams to ensure seamless care transitions and promote a safe, clean, and secure hospital environment.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Graduation from a school of professional nursing.
- Licensure to practice as a Registered Nurse in the state of North Carolina.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Provider certification.
- One (1) year of nursing experience.
