Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Nurse Practitioner II to join our team at the University of California, Irvine. As a key member of our Department of Medicine, Hematology/Oncology Division, you will provide comprehensive care to patients in the ambulatory and infusion center settings.

Responsibilities
  • Participate in the comprehensive care of patients, including multi-disciplinary care coordination, treatment, education, monitoring, and communication with patients and referring physicians.
  • Function as an Advanced Practice Provider, managing chronic stable medical conditions, routine care, acute or critical care, and medical and surgical procedures.
  • Develop and implement individualized care plans, ensuring patient-centered care and optimal outcomes.
  • Collaborate with healthcare teams to provide seamless care transitions and ensure continuity of care.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest medical research, guidelines, and best practices to provide evidence-based care.
Requirements
  • Successful completion of an accredited Nurse Practitioner Program.
  • Current, active, unrestricted California Registered Nurse license.
  • Current BLS certification and ACLS certification.
  • Current, active, unrestricted Furnishing license and DEA registration.
  • Oncology Nursing Society (ONS) Certification (ACONP) and/or ONS Chemotherapy Certification (obtained within 3 months of hire).
  • Ability to obtain UCIMC Allied Health Professional Privileges prior to hire.
  • Active National Provider Identifier (NPI).
Preferred Qualifications
  • Infusion Center Experience (at least 2 or more years).
  • Experience with clinical trial patient participation.
